I decided not to travel to Mozambique with the others at the very last minute because a small part of me is attached to Diepsloot.

I’m glad I didn’t go. The church service last night was intense, in a good way, especially for someone like myself that is not very religious. Though I wasn’t listening to the entire sermon–because I was attempting to shoot photos of Victor, a Diepsloot resident, our guide/story–I felt that I could relate to some of what Pastor Eddie was saying.

One of the messages was to eat vegetables.

I ate chicken for dinner. The others had calamari and fish.

The one-hour service was powerful, and the songs that they sing are truly inspiring. I can’t wait to share this with you all.
